Hello Everyone! I am Maritza and I was fortunate enough to go to Scotland so I could attend the 2015 European Championship. First off I had a blast while I was there! Aside from just the Championship there were other shows going on. I did get some nice photos of a hunter jumper show while we were waiting for the dressage to start back up. Here are some photos of the hunter jumper show. I will add more photos in the comments. I will also some photos of the different events! I am still working on the dressage photos so check back often for photos. I took over 1000 photos while I was in Scotland and a lot of it was horses. I will say this there was some amazing riding going on! The winners were: Individuals: 1st Place: Michael Jung riding fischerTakinou (Germany) 2nd Place: Sandra AUFFARTH riding Opgun Louvo (Germany) 3rd Place: Thibaut VALLETTE LT COL riding Qing du Briot ENE HN (France) Teams: 1st Place: Germany 2nd Place: Great Britain 3rd Place: France

It warms my heart to see a military officer doing a dressage test. The Saumur tradition is alive and well. I would have loved to see the dressage and try to observe the subtle differences between the riders form each country close up.
I had no idea that the Europeans actually did Hunter/Jumpers. Jumpers, yes but Hunter/Jumpers? Were the classes really called Hunter/Jumper?
The jump actually does look like Hunters from decades ago, but without a crest release, I don't think my brain can process the picture as a Hunter class.
Thanks for posting your pics.

I can't remember if they were called Hunter/Jumper. But it was so much fun to watch. I loved watching this show because some of the lines to the jumps were very technical. Like one that you had to jump to the left of the jump because "trees" were blocking the rest of the jump and it was the only way to line up to the next jump. There was another jump where you had to jump through trees! Reminded of so many lessons we had at Triple Creek Farm.
