I think $1500 is steep for any grade, green broke horse.
I don't think her face is really a detractor from her sale price as a broke horse. Nor is being a mare. As a broke horse, she would make a really cute pony club mount.

What's wrong with the face. In California, you could sell that horse all day long. She is built like a little work horse. She looks the most versatile of all of them. Big boned and a good neck. This horse would look great after a few months of riding and muscle development.

The face thing is an old hunting snob thing really. if someone shows up with a horse with a big white face they get called a "cow horse". This picture show how specific English gets. The Queen and Ron are wearing a level of attire called "ratcatcher". This requires brown boots and brown accessories like her brown whip. The jackets must be tweed and the birches natural color, and so on. Ron's top jacket button open and his open shirt prove he is an American. It is in this context that a bald face is way out of the standard. But things are changing. Not long ago a woman showed up for a hunt with a bright pink fleece breast plate and she was permitted to hunt. Maybe my anachronisms are getting in my way. I do like the look of that pony and she would be a great project.

I just received this picture. It shows what I mean when I say reach. I love the relaxed reaching foot fall of the left hind under the belly.

I think that the degree to which people are bothered by a big face marking like that has lessened quite a bit. I think people are more concerned with how broke the horse is, and quite frankly, that unique face marking could be a selling point for some.
She has plenty of substance. If she moves well, has a nice temperament and is broke, I doubt it would take long to find a buyer if you decided to sell.

"that unique face marking could be a selling point for some" ... if life hands you a lemon, make a lemonade.

"that unique face marking could be a selling point for some" ... if life hands you a lemon, make a lemonade. Know your market and always remember for every horse there is a price someone is willing to pay. I've seen some really nasty horses go for crazy amounts of money. You just never know with some folks.
