I see a horse and rider who never stopped fighting. I don't know if a 3 month suspension is enough. Humans should know better.

Wow. For those here who believe settle-commit is the most effective method in any jumping situation, we see here a horse that could benefit from this method. My sense is the horse becomes increasingly confused as they progress through the jumps. There are no refusals until jump # 9. What is interesting is that in the approach to jump # 8 the rider is both holding his horse back and using his crop. Horses hate that. After # 8 in the long right-hand bending line to # 9, the rider had an opportunity to clear his horse's mind with a couple settling moves and then, once out of the bend and onto the straight approach line to # 9, he had a chance to develop an accelerating commitment to allow the horse to understand what was expected of him with a calm clear commit command.
Instead we see a helter-skelter ramming around argument in a jumping course. The rider shows some skill and experience. The horse has a professional history. Of the two in the video, the rider is clearly the problem. We have all had forward horses like this, but to create a situation where the horse must do so many of those deer leap pops, one after another is just stupid riding. If I am this guy's coach, I am asking him what's up? Breakup with your girlfriend last night? Went broke on a real estate deal this week? What? Or maybe he is one of those rich guys who "needs something to do" (polo is full of these) and he picked equestrian competition, and now he and it is getting old. Buy a race car, do something, but get out of horses man.
